Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy

 19/10/23  |  V4.0

The Board of Moneyhub Financial Technology Ltd has taken the voluntary step to make this modern slavery and human trafficking statement relating to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

We oppose slavery and human trafficking in all its forms and make this statement to set out the steps we have taken to stand against slavery and human trafficking in our business and with our partners and enterprise customer-base.

About us

We are a modern company providing an innovative Open Finance platform which uses software and tools to help people manage their financial wellness, primarily through the use of account and payment information, through analytics and hyper-personalised insights.

Our annual turnover is under £36 million which takes us below the mandatory reporting threshold set by national law. Accordingly, we are not required to make a modern slavery statement under section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.  Nevertheless we are making this voluntary statement to show our commitment to ethical trading principles and to set out the steps we are taking to tackle modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and in our supply chains.

Our supply chains are relatively small and compact as our business is built on Lean principles and efficient practices, where our open finance technology relies on very few other providers in order to deliver a comprehensive platform and software-led service to enterprise customers and end-users. Nevertheless there are a number of software providers and partners from credit reference agencies, rent recognition partners, large enterprise customers, and others who support our total offering.

We are committed to ethical trading principles and to acquiring goods and services without harm to others. We are an environmentally and socially aware business with a keen understanding of the contribution we make to society beyond our core technology.

Due diligence and risk assessment

To help identify and monitor the risk of slavery and human trafficking in our supply chain and our customer base we carefully examine any partner organisation or enterprise customer before we enter into a commercial arrangement or contract with them.  We look for their positions and commitments to avoiding and preventing modern slavery and human trafficking.

Where we use contractors we endeavour to conduct the appropriate level of ongoing due diligence in order to identify, monitor and mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking.

Training

We provide training to our staff, across a range of disciplines and topics including modern slavery and human trafficking.  The importance of being universally aware of the risks and downsides to human trafficking and modern slavery feeds into our wider training plans, where we ensure our staff are aware about collegiate respect, respect to the environment, respect to society and charitable causes and the need to make ourselves and our technologies accessible and relatable as much as possible.

We will keep our approach to this important subject under review, and the Board is committed to taking further and stronger measures as and when required.

This voluntary slavery and human trafficking statement is made in connection with section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, for the financial year ending 28 February 2023.
